Prior to co-founding ITS, Steve had served as President of CSIO (Centre for Studies of Insurance Operations). Becoming disillusioned over the impossible odds that the P&C broker channel faced in terms of workflow, Steve formed ITS to develop a real solution for the independent insurance broker/agent channel. His past includes acquiring, operating, and selling his own independent brokerage in White Rock, British Columbia. Prior to that Steve held executive positions at P&C insurance companies in both Canada and the US. His experience in over 25 years in the P&C insurance industry include; Commercial (property/casualty, marine and professional medical liability) & Personal Lines, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Information Technology and Marketing.

Steve obtained his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan. In addition he is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada, is a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter and holds a Canadian Risk Management Diploma. Steve has been recognized by the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters for obtaining his Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada in Marine Insurance.

Tony Nicholls

Tony has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry delivering a variety of projects using a wide range of technologies. Tony’s career started with a highly disciplined approach to software engineering. Working in the UK military sector, Tony was responsible for developing advanced weapons system architectures to extremely high quality standards. This experience has helped Tony in the commercial sector to develop aggressive application development frameworks using code generation technologies that enable pragmatic approaches to software delivery. Tony has worked in a variety of industries including Military, Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, Utility, Logistics and Healthcare.

Tony has Honours degrees in Physics and Mathematics. Tony formerly held a Solutions Architect role at TELUS Business Solutions where he provided strategic consulting and established the code generation framework for a software development centre of excellence professional services group.

Rob Halasz

Rob has over 20 years of Information and communication technology experience in environments that have been under constant change, experiencing significant business transformation. Rob has a consistent track record of adapting to organizational change while delivering mission critical initiatives with tangible results. Rob has extensive strategic planning, IT governance, Program / Project Management, Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), application hosting, account management, professional services & operations experience with Fortune 500 clients. Rob has provided advisory services to various industries, including Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Retail, and Government.

Rob has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Toronto, is a Project Management Professional (PMP), and is ITIL Foundations v3 certified.
